If you were unable to attend the reading workshop on 16th March, please find a recording of the session HERE  Reading is truly at the heart of all learning for all subjects – not just English!

If children see themselves as ‘readers’ from an early age, the benefits to their academic progress as well as their mental well-being are huge. This session will help you support your child with their reading using a strategy known as ‘Big Reading’ by educationalist Roz Wilson.

Within the session, Ms Gamiet refers to the R.E.A.D question stems which are available for you to take from reception – unfortunately this cannot be put on the school website.

Aside from using the question stems, the best we can do for the children is to be good reading role models – so listen to them read, and read to them as much as you can! We hope that you find the video and the question stems useful.
