How Parents and Carers Evenings work at Trevelyan

< Back to Parents

Parents evenings take place once a year for each year group. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with teachers, discuss your child’s progress and see the school.

We seek to ensure that every parent gets an appointment for each of the three core subjects: English, Maths and Science. These appointments are made via MCAS. These appointments last five minutes and take place within our main school hall.

In addition, you may tour the school and meet with subject teachers for an informal conversation if you wish. Subject teachers will be based within their teaching rooms and pupils’ exercise books will be available for you to view. You do not need to make an appointment for these subjects and can attend as many or as few as you wish.

We strongly encourage you to bring your child to parents evening. As it concerns their education, we like to ensure they are part of the conversation.

Parent and carer evenings 2025-26 will take place on the following dates:

  • Year 5 – 22nd April 2026
  • Year 6 – 7th January 2026
  • Year 7 – 19th November 2025
  • Year 8 – 4th March 2026

They will run from 4pm – 7pm.  Further information will be sent out to you nearer the time.
