Young Musician of the Year competition
A particular strength of the school’s work is the excellent range of clubs and activities on offer outside lessons, particularly in sports, music, art and drama, which make a very strong contribution to pupils’ good spiritual, social, moral and cultural development and personal well-being.

This competition is held in the spring of every year. All students are encouraged to enter, with categories for
- Young Composer
- Young Musician, on the instrument of the student's choice
- Young Singer
In addition, there is a special prize category for entrants who have shown great promise as novices, or to recognise those who have contributed in a major way to music in the school.
The competition starts in the spring, and the Final is one of our main community events.
