Rewards for good behaviour, penalties for bad

Pupils attend regularly and behaviour in lessons is good. Ofsted 2011

Carrots…

We have rewards for pupils who make an extra effort in their work, help out in the way the school is run or contribute to the school.

  • Housepoints are given regularly for good work and good behaviour. Housepoints go towards your house's total — being in the best house is something to be proud of!
  • Blue Smiley Faces are very occasionally given to pupils who have made an exceptional contribution to their school's community and well-being. Smiley Faces can be exchanged for end-of-term raffle tickets.

…and Spots

  • To discourage misbehaving, bad timekeeping or forgetfulness we have the Red Spot system. Red Spots are marked in your handbook. Too many Red Spots earn a detention!

Persistent or seriously bad behaviour is dealt with by the school's behaviour policy.
