Working to becoming a Healthy School
We are currently working hard to gain our National Healthy Schools status. This is a government award that identifies and rewards schools for looking after the health and well-being of pupils and staff.
Research shows that emotionally healthy schools usually achieve more! The National Healthy Schools programme uses four key areas in its whole school approach:
- PSHE — Personal, Social and Health Education
- Physical activity
- Healthy eating
- Emotional health and well-being
Trevelyan's Vision
Trevelyan will be an outstanding school that provides a safe and caring environment in which pupils benefit from a variety of opportunities, including a high quality curriculum which results in high levels of achievement in conjunction with emotional health and well being. The school will provide an effective preparation for the next phase of children's education and subsequent careers; it will engender mutual respect and be a school of which all can be proud.
