Communications
We find that keeping everyone informed about what's going on leads to a better understanding of our needs and those of our pupils and their parents. The main ways we do this are through the Newsletter, at regular meet-the-Head evenings, and at other forums. Our Calendar is published at the start of each term, and the most up-to-date version is always available on this web site.
We value being told what we've got right, and where we've gone wrong. You can ask questions and make comments in your children's handbooks; and at various meetings we arrange, we ask you to help plan the way the school works, and encourage you to tell us what you think.
Newsletters
We publish a Newsletter four times a term, both on paper and on this web site. It has news about the school, changes to arrangements, and details about forthcoming meetings and events.
- We often publish records of pupils' achievements in the newsletter, especially when they have represented the school in regional or national events.
- The PTA has a regular column about social and fund-raising events, and this is its main way of asking for help.
- You can find all newsletters in the archive, or ask for back copies at the School Office.
Letters and Forms for Home
We know that letters and forms often disappear in the Black Holes* in school bags. You can find important letters and forms on this web site, or ask the office for copies.
*These act as a sort of time machine, so that everything appears again in the future, usually at the end of term!
