School Dress Code – Information for Parents & Carers

Trevelyan School prides itself on its high standards of pupil appearance. The uniform gives our pupils a strong sense of belonging and an identity within the community.

Below is the complete list of our official uniform requirements, which must be adhered to:

Additional items Black hooded sweatshirts, black & red waterproof jackets, scarves and skorts (short/skirt combined) are also available from Goyals with pupils’ individual initials added.

Please note that for new year 5’s joining us in September there will be a slight change to the PE kit and it will be compulsory to wear a branded black polo shirt instead of the white one.  This will not affect years 6-8 (unless they wish to purchase a new one.)

It is vitally important that all uniform and sports kit items are clearly named. This is the only way we can ensure lost items find their way back to the rightful owner!

Please note the following items are not permitted:

Boots, trainers (except during sporting activities), jeans, nail varnish, false nails, make-up, jewellery (including earrings) or large hair accessories. Hair should not be coloured, no extensions or shaved patterns. Boys’ hair should not be cut below a grade 2. Shoulder length hair or longer should be tied back at all times. Girls wearing headscarves for religious reasons should ensure that scarves are black or white.
