Mathematics
This is the subject page for Mathematics. To get an overview of your child's overall home learning provision, please click here.
The Maths Department have structured the work for your child in the following way;
Mathletics:
This will be the key avenue for work and each day that your child is due to have Maths, they should log in to Mathletics – three times per week for KS3 (3 hours in total) and every day for KS2 (6 hours in total).
Individual teachers will be setting tasks, tests and problem solving exercises through Mathletics. The pupils are used to accessing tasks and tests but the problem solving exercises are new. However Mathletics is very clear in the explanation of what to do.
A summary of where to access the work is shown below:
KS2 Only – Times Tables Rockstars
Please ensure that the KS2 pupils complete 20 minutes of times tables practice on Rockstars each day as part of their Maths time. Fluency in times tables is an essential foundation stone for the ongoing numerical development for all children. Please remember that if your son/daughter struggles to remember all the times tables, encourage them to build from their knowledge of the 2s, 5s, and 10s. For example if they know 5 x 6, that can be used as a foundation stone to work out 6 x 6 rather than counting up from 1 x 6.

Trevelyan subscribe to a wonderful resource called Timestable Rockstars. All of our pupils have free access to the whole website and resources, including NUMBOTS – an addition and subtraction resource.
Today, TTRS have announced that all children across England will receive free access for schools that are closed.
We thought we would share the link in case this was of any use to you. https://ttrockstars.com/
